PTR Patch Changes and Additions: 1-11-11

A new patch is being prepared for the PTR servers, and we’ve taken a look to see what has chanced between this patch and the patch released last week

    Spell Changes

    • Rune of Swordshattering: Affixes your two-handed rune weapon with a rune that increases Parry chance by 4% and reduces the duration of Disarm effects by 50%.60%. Modifying your rune weapon requires a Rune Forge in Ebon Hold.
    • Rune of Swordbreaking: Affixes your one-handed rune weapon with a rune that increases Parry chance by 2% and reduces the duration of Disarm effects by 50%.60%. Modifying your rune weapon requires a Rune Forge in Ebon Hold.
    • Necrotic Strike: A vicious strike that deals 100% weapon damage and absorbs the next (0.75 * AP) healing received by the target.  For 1510 sec, or until the full amount of healing is absorbed, the target’s casting time is increased by 30%.

    Talent and Specialization Changes

    • Virulence: Increases yourthe chancedamage todone hit withby your spellsdiseases by 3%.  Spells are all Death Knight abilities that are not direct weapon strikes.10%.
    • Sudden Doom: Your main-hand auto attacks have a 5% chance to make your next Death Coil cost no runic power.
    • Bone Shield: Surrounds you with a barrier of whirling bones.  The shield begins with 34 charges, and each damaging attack consumes a charge.  While at least 1 charge remains, you take 20% less damage from all sources and deal 2% more damage with all attacks, spells and abilities.  Lasts 5 min.
    • Sudden Doom: Your main-hand auto attacks have a 10%chance (higher chancethan rank 2) to make your next Death Coil cost no runic power.

    • Soothe: 1.5 sec cast
    • Healing Touch: The spell level has changed from 3 to 78.
    • Shred: Shred the target, causing 350%450% damage plus (330 * 350450 / 100) to the target.  Must be behind the target.  Awards 1 combo point.  Effects which increase Bleed damage also increase Shred damage.
    • Maul: An attack that instantly deals (8 + $ap * 0.300.24 – 1) physical damage.  Effects which increase Bleed damage also increase Maul damage.
    • Moonfire: 18%9% of base mana
    • Lacerate: Lacerates the enemy target, dealing (246197 + (AP * 0.09580.0766)) damage and making them bleed for (5 * (1915 + (AP * 0.00640.00512))) damage over 15 sec, and causing a high amount of threat.  Damage increased by attack power.  This effect stacks up to 3 times on the same target.
    • Mangle: Mangle the target for 360%460% normal damage plus (315 * 360460 / 100) and causes the target to take 30% additional damage from bleed effects for 1 min.  Awards 1 combo point.
    • Mangle: Mangle the target for 300%235% normal damage plus (290 * 300235 / 100) and causes the target to take 30% additional damage from bleed effects for 1 min.
    • Skull Bash: You charge and skull bash the target, interrupting spellcasting and preventing any spell in that school from being cast for 54 sec.

    Talent and Specialization Changes

    • Natural Shapeshifter: Reduces the mana cost of all shapeshifting by 10% and increases the duration of Tree of Life Form by 53 sec.
    • Natural Shapeshifter: Reduces the mana cost of all shapeshifting by 20% and increases the duration of Tree of Life Form by 106 sec.
    • Tree of Life: Shapeshift into the tree of life, increasing healing done by 15% and increasing your armor by 120%. In addition, some of your spells are temporarily enhanced while shapeshifted. Lasts 3025 sec.
    • Wild Growth: 108 sec cooldown
      Heals up to 5 friendly party or raid members within 15 yards of the target for 28633717 over 7 sec.  Prioritizes healing most injured party members.  The amount healed is applied quickly at first, and slows down as the Wild Growth reaches its full duration.
    • Tree of Life: Shapeshift into the tree of life, increasing healing done by 15% and increasing your armor by 120%. In addition, some of your spells are temporarly enhanced while shapeshifted. Lasts 3025 sec. 5 minute cooldown.
    • Total Eclipse: Increases the bonus damage from Eclipse by 12%.16%. Each point of Mastery increases the bonus by an additional 1.5%.2.0%.
    • Symbiosis: Increases the potency of your healing spells by 10%11.6% on targets already affected by one of your heal over time spells.  Each point of Mastery increases heal potency by an additional 1.25%.1.45%.
    • Pulverize: Deals 100%80% weapon damage plus additional (450 * 10080 / 100) damage for each of your Lacerate applications on the target, and increases your melee critical strike chance by 3% for each Lacerate application consumed for 10 sec.

    Hunter

    Spell Changes

    • Concussive Shot: Dazes the target, slowing movement speed by 50% for 46 sec.
    • Deterrence: When activated, increases parrythe chance melee attacks will miss you by 100%, reduces the chance ranged attacks will hit you by 100% and grants a 100% chance to deflect spells.  While Deterrence is active, you cannot attack.  Lasts 5 sec.

    Talent and Specialization Changes

    • Black Arrow: Fires a Black Arrow at the target, dealing 23951800 Shadow damage over 15 sec. Black Arrow shares a cooldown with other Fire Trap spells.
    • Explosive Shot: You fire an explosive charge into the enemy target, dealing RAP*0.273+*0.205+453340 Fire damage. The charge will blast the target every second for an additional 2 sec.
    • Hunter vs. Wild: Increases your total Stamina by 4%.5%.

    • Hunter vs. Wild: Increases your total Stamina by 10%.15%.
    • Serpent Spread: TargetsUp to 4 targets hit by your Multi-Shot are also afflicted by your Serpent Sting equal to 6 sec of its total duration.

Fingers of Frost can accumulate up to 2 charges and lasts 15 sec.
    • Fingers of Frost: Gives your Chill effects a 14% chance to grant you the Fingers of Frost effect, which causes your next Ice Lance or Deep Freeze spell to act as if your target were frozen.frozen and increases Ice Lance damage by 15%. Fingers of Frost can accumulate up to 2 charges and lasts 15 sec.
    • Deep Freeze: Stuns the target for 5 sec.  Only usable on Frozen targets.  Deals (14291144 * 1) to (17911432 * 1) damage to targets that are permanently immune to stuns.
    • Flashburn: Increases the damage done by all your periodic fire damage effects by 20%.22.4%. Each point of Mastery increases periodic damage done by an additional 2.5%.2.8%.
    • Fingers of Frost: Gives your Chill effects a 20% chance to grant you the Fingers of Frost effect, which causes your next Ice Lance or Deep Freeze spell to act as if your target were frozen.frozen and increases Ice Lance damage by 15%.     • Lightwell: Creates a Holy Lightwell.  Friendly players can click the Lightwell to restore (((2878 + ($SP * .308)) * 3) * 1.251.15) health over 6 sec.  Attacks done to you equal to 30% of your total health will cancel the effect. Lightwell lasts for 3 min or 10 charges.
    • Chakra: When activated, your next Heal, Flash Heal, Greater Heal, Prayer of Healing, Prayer of Mending, Mind Spike or Smite will put you into a Chakra state for 1 min.

    • Chain Heal: Heals the friendly target for 29673282 to 33893748, then jumps to heal the most injured nearby targets.  If cast on a party or raid member, the heal will only jump to other members.  Each jump reduces the effectiveness of the heal by 30%.  Heals 4 total targets.
    • Tremor Totem: Compare tooltips.
    • Greater Healing Wave: 30%33% of base mana
      Heals a friendly target for 74738968 to 853710244.

    Talent and Specialization Changes

    • Mana Tide Totem: Summons a Mana Tide Totem with 10% of the caster’s health at the feet of the caster for 12 sec.  Party members within 40 yards of the totem havegain their400% of the caster’s Spirit (excluding short – duration Spirit increased by 350%.bonuses).
    • Mental Quickness: Increases your spell power by an amount equal to 50% of your attack power, and reduces the mana cost of your instant beneficial, damaging, and totem spells by 75%.
    • Earthquake: You cause the earth at the target location to tremble and break, dealing 493542 Physical damage every 1 sec to enemies in 8 yard radius, with a 10% chance of knocking down affected targets. Lasts 8 sec.
    • Deep Healing: Increases the potency of your direct healing spells by up to 20%,24%, based on the current health level of your target (lower health targets are healed for more).  Each point of Mastery increases direct heals by up to an additional 2.5%.3.0%.
    • Earthquake: An earthquake shakes the target area, dealing 493542 Physical damage to enemies every 1, with a 10% chance of knocking them down.

    Warlock

    • Demon Soul: Imp – Critical Strikestrike damagechance onof your cast time Destruction spells increased by 60%30% for 3020 sec. Each spell cast benefitting from this effect reduces the bonus by 20% until the bonus expires after 3 casts.

    • Unstable Affliction: Shadow energy slowly destroys the target, causing 1115 damage over 15 sec.  In addition, if the Unstable Affliction is dispelled it will cause 2007 damage to the dispeller and silence them for 54 sec.  Only one Unstable Affliction or Immolate per Warlock can be active on any one target.
    • Demonic Aegis: Increases the amount of health generated through spells and effects granted by your Demon Armor by an additional 5%, and increases the amount of healthmana regeneratedgranted by your Fel Armor by 50%.

    Spell Changes

    • Heroic Strike: An attack that instantly deals (8 + $ap * 7593 / 100) physical damage.  A good attack for moments of excess rage.
    • Cleave: A sweeping attack that strikes the target and a nearby ally, dealing (6 + $ap * 0.5620.45) physical damage.

    Talent and Specialization Changes

    • Bloodthirst: Instantly attack the target causing (AP * 6280 / 100) damage.  In addition, the next 3 successful melee attacks will restore 0.5% of max health.  This effect lasts 8 sec.  Damage is based on your attack power.
    • Juggernaut: Your Charge ability is now usable while in combat and in all stances, and the duration of your Charge stun is increased by 2 sec.  Following a Charge, your next Slam or Mortal Strike has an additional 25% chance to critically hit if used within 10 sec.  However, Charge and Intercept now share a cooldown.
    • Unshackled Fury: Increases the benefit of abilities that cause or require you to be enraged by 37.6%.44.8%. Each point of Mastery increases enrage effects by an additional 4.70%.5.60%.
    • War Academy: Increases the damage of HeroicMortal Strike, Cleave,Raging Blow, Devastate, Victory Rush and Slam by 5%.
    • War Academy: Increases the damage of HeroicMortal Strike, Cleave,Raging Blow, Devastate, Victory Rush and Slam by 10%.

    Pet Abilities

    • Felstorm: The Felguard recklessly swings its Axe, striking all nearby targets within 8 yards for its weapon damage plus ((($SP * .50) * 2) * 0.33 + 158111) and continuing to perform the attack every 1 sec for 6 sec. The Felguard cannot perform any other abilities during Felstorm.

    • Stoneform: Removes all poison, disease and bleed effects and increasesreduces yourall armordamage taken by 10% for 8 sec.

    • Unstable Affliction: Shadow energy slowly destroys the target, causing 1800 damage over 18 sec.  In addition, if the Unstable Affliction is dispelled it will cause 2700 damage to the dispeller and silence them for 54 sec.
    • Unstable Affliction: Shadow energy slowly destroys the target, causing 3000 damage over 18 sec.  In addition, if the Unstable Affliction is dispelled it will cause 4625 to 5375 damage to the dispeller and silence them for 54 sec.
    • Ice Cannon: A low cost attack that does a moderate amount of damage and slows down the movement of Scourge enemies. Does TRIPLEDOUBLE damage against Scourge that are imprisoned in ice.
    • Heroic Leap: Leap through the air towards a targeted location, slamming down with destuctivedestructive force to deal (1 + 0.5 * AP) damage on all enemies within 8 yards.
